OBITUARY

Salvatore T. Costantino, 95, a lifelong Wakefield resident passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at home with his loving grandson by his side.

Born in Winchester on June 19, 1916 he was the son of the late Diamante and Pasqualina (Locascio) Costantino.

Salvatore had retired from the Town of Wakefield as the foreman for the Parks Department and was a former member of the Crystal Community Club. After retirement Sal found great enjoyment making pizza's for Santoro's. Sal had a passion for reading, gardening and all things metaphysical. Sal will be remembered as a generous and unselfish man whose stories and refreshing smile touched everyone he met, but most of all his resolute devotion to his wife Shirley.

For 60 years Salvatore was the devoted husband of the late Shirley (Leavitt) Costantino. He is survived by his son Paul Costantino and wife Mary of Rochester, New York, his brother Orlando "Lindy" Costantino and wife Mary, his sister Nancy and late husband James DeCamillis and his dedicated grandson Michael Costantino and wife Lillian and their son Joseph, all of Wakefield. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Maria Costantino of Lynn, Phyllis Costantino of Waltham and many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Edward, Gilardo "Jerry", John and Sister Margaret (Melendy) Costantino.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and kind neighbors who offered their care and concern. A special heartfelt appreciation for his nieces Rosa Bruzzese and Linda Costantino for all the days spent loving and caring for their Uncle Sal.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made in Sals name to Mystic Valley Elder Services.

Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield
